Paneer Tikka

Ingredients:

- 250 grams of paneer, cut into cubes
- 1 cup of thick yogurt
- 1 tablespoon of ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon of red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon of garam masala
- 1 teaspoon of cumin powder
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- Sliced onions, bell peppers, and cherry tomatoes for skewering (optional)
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing

Instructions:

1. In a mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, cumin powder, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well to form a smooth marinade.

2. Add the paneer cubes to the marinade and gently toss until all the cubes are well coated. Let the paneer marinate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate.

3. Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat. If using skewers, thread the marinated paneer cubes onto the skewers alternately with sliced onions, bell peppers, and cherry tomatoes.

4. Brush the grill grates or baking tray with oil to prevent sticking. If using skewers, place them directly on the grill grates. If using a baking tray, arrange the paneer cubes in a single layer.

5. Grill or bake the paneer tikka for about 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the paneer is lightly charred and the edges are golden brown. Cooking times may vary, so keep an eye on the paneer to avoid overcooking.

6. Once cooked, remove the paneer tikka from the grill or oven and transfer them to a serving plate. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

Note:

Paneer tikka can be served hot as an appetizer or as a side dish with mint chutney or tamarind chutney. It goes well with naan, roti, or rice. Enjoy!
